dee's research non-update.

earlier, i mentioned that i would discuss my research with everyone on this blog. however, up until yesterday, i figured that the research is a little too sensitive -- not in content, but in the context of where it is to be presented -- to disclose at this point. thus, i'd only put up my findings and writings for this paper when the whole event has passed.

for now, all i can say is that it's lent me some new insights into the degrees of conservation, not all of which i agree with. i'd always been one to deeply appreciate the inevitable decay and eventual destruction of any built project.

...
..
.

sensitive discussion aside, this research stint invigorates me as it brings me to other aspects of my elements. as i move towards completing my two-week stint, i'm beginning to wonder if this were indeed the life i'd like to lead. whilst i do see myself in practice full-time, i do not see myself limited to only my practice; design as bottom-liner, but a whole lot of reading and writing, and maybe some teaching as well. in many ways, i do gravitate towards (among other examples) eisenman's model of an academic practitioner.
