[following the construction.]
happened to be around for an update with my Boss; late enough to attend the opening ceremony of "Breaking Open the Box". confirmed with my Boss (as mentioned by Foong earlier) that this pavilion has a 6-month shelf-life. the material is highly interior, so i suppose will withstand weathering long enough for the 6-month warranty. (i really hope our hired help issues warranties; quite a bitch to get compensation without them.)
by the way, the (albeit cute) emcee kept emphasising throughout the night that "this pavilion is designed and constructed by us, the second year architecture students".
uh-huh...
for your viewing pleasure, here're some clips from this lovely evening of architectural breaking out of the box... erm... party:

.
incidentally, a pretty big figure lecturer apparently calls this pavilion "interior design", and quipped "what are the frames for?".

.
i'd post the other proposals up over the weekend, when i'm done compiling them.

ok... i find it FUCKING offensive...
thinking out of a prescribed box within THE prescribed box...
6months guys...autonomous house 3 will have lots of materials
sorry but i can't seem to appreciate it. very disappointed... personally, i thought it would turn out more exciting. (and that's just putting it real nicely)
but that's just the feedback from looking at these images...
to those back in school: is it worth a visit to experience this structure?
am in school now, just ate at macs and really must say this... i see no learning value in this exercise. the structure is less exciting than the photographs.
