as most would already know, my mom and i are planning a trip to melbourne come Dec. the rough idea of the trip is to just check melbourne out and get a rough feel of the place before we finally move there for studies. i might even decide to go house-hunting in Dec itself, but we'd need to discuss that further.
anyway, i think this trip will be 5-7 days, covering one weekend 16-19th or 23-26th; i was actually planning on spending x'mas there, but i'm not sure what the rest of you have in mind. tentatively, my mom has suggested that we get a nice service apartment to stay in, this way we can save on accommodation.
please give me a rough idea of whether or not you're going to join me. my mom wants to book tickets soon, so it'd be nice to have a rough number for people going.

omfg! i'm in the midst of receiving photos from wuks. and all i can say is those of you who aren't interested in going down-under this dec MUST book a ticket to visit the ten billion cute boys of all possible euro-nationalities, heights, shades of tan, color/s of eyes, accents, age, hair-colors, etc, and now all associated with wuks! spend x'mas and new year's there! hell! just get married there and never come back! hmmmm............. *contemplates very seriously*

sweetie,
i'd love for mummy and i to go also. but i'm thinkin of only making solid plans to do anything when i get my letter of acceptance... in fact, i'd definately come along (with mummy or not), if i get accepted. as of now, portfolio is not even submitted. what's there to plan?
heard from yaoks idp is having another fair. yet to call them to ask for more details (how long they'll take to reply, is it on a 1st-come-1st serve basis etc etc). what it also means is that we might have more time to do our porties!
but i see where you're coming from. we do definately have to book our tickets soon.. shall we book to include mummy and i and then (choi choi choi) if need be cancel later?
point!
i already brought that up; my mom's supposed to make some calls to the travel agent to check on what the procedures are for ticket-booking/ cancellation. more details will be fed when i get them.
in the event that i don't get into RMIT, i might just go to Melbourne anyway for the fun of it. haha.
IDP is having another fair in October, in fact, the deadline for applications to RMIT doesn't end till end Oct, i believe. but i'm not so big on prolonging the portfolio production -- been long enough, for me anyway!
