you're very pretty too.

from altesse.livejournal.com:

outofscale

Finally. Planning write-ups I can read without thinking 'interspatial fusion of distended consciousness tribalisations whaaaaat??' (I am particularly reminded of a steaming post-thunderstorm afternoon spent elbowing parents of architecture students out of the way in the cramped corridors of the Slade and fuming with inchoate rage at the senselessness of it all.)

It's run by a group of architecture (ex-)students from NUS - they call themselves a 'collective' and use cumbersome, wholly unnecessary words like 'contestation' in the usual poncy manner, but it's forgiven because they manage to sound surprisingly down-to-earth when writing about matters of substance (e.g. urban planning in Punggol). And never mind the verbiage, I'm just completely taken with the pictures of slime mould in jelly.
erm... thanks, you're very pretty too.

i guess i'm the major culprit of this "use [of] cumbersome, wholly unnecessary words like 'contestation' in the usual poncy manner".

luckily i'm a shameless publicity whore.

Oops, didn't expect you to pick up on that, otherwise I would have been a lot more complimentary. I should have counted on link referral logs. Keep on keeping on, you all.

oahiz: yah, very good you. pity you're not nearly as pretty as sio's slime mould.

altesse: it's fine. like i've said, i'm shameless. and i don't really care if you find any of our (my) writing "poncy" because maybe we (me) really are poncy? plus compliments are so overrated, i probably would have read it as sycophantic hence taken suspect.

just glad you took something positive (i.e. punggol planning) from our site anyway. that's what's important.

if you have any requests for discussion on particular urban planning/ architecture, you know how to reach us. i'm sure someone here has something to say 'bout it.
