model is done

after much deliberating and experimentation, amidst instructions from our bosses to keep our model as "layman" as possible because the "heartlanders may not understand", we came to complete this model in a week.

remy and i deliberated during the day time where our colleagues wld walk in and eyepower and give comments and step up the gear once they are gone.

model makers

so these are the images of the complete model. the cutesy stuff are blown out of scale about 3 to 5 times to the horror of our bosses. but who cares in the end. they like the quaint look.

finally at 3am on monday. we took all our colleagues's desk "ornamentations" for a group photo in recognition of their eye power over the past week. haa

that one huh...

i spent a night doing a nice photomontage of the site pictures which relates geographically to the model. so pple will know what u can see and feel when u stand at various points on the site. the montage will be on transparent vallem under the blue water surface. my more senior colleagues working OT with me felt it was a good solution.

the bosses took a look and say. too abstract. afraid the heartlanders dun understand. my boss ask me, what if i take home and show my father, do u think he understand?

instead my boss wanted a few photos of historical images of the indigeneous orang seletar hauntingly under the water surface.

welcome to the world of urban planners. we have a messianic duty to design for the dumbass heartlanders who never see photo montages before.

hiyo dun make me blush leh. actually it took lots of postproduction (i.e. photoshopping) to make me look this good.

and yes, i am born in the yr of rooster, as with most of us. so its only natural for me to be bird-brained 8)

remy - so you admit you're good looking lah? not shy.

:)

i've been trying to fix the pixelation from the resizing of the photos, but somehow it's not working. (or is it just my screen?)

so for a better look at remy's post-production good looks, click for actual pic.
