hmm from the recently concluded PUB's Active Beautiful and Clean (ABC) Waters' Programme you get to see some really interesting urban design involving the beautification of canals into water features. I think this feedback board is fun, got kids drawings of wat they want. i dunno if its my idea becoz i forwarded this suggestion to my boss to let kids have a corner in the exhibition to doodle stuff... meanwhile, here's some behind the scenes projects that never made it to the exhibition...

actually this got onto the exhibition lah. but the idea of the River Campus was toned down to take merely a water sports holding area. The original idea was an extensive Outdoor classroom, events centre, and stuff where students can spend after school hours relaxing around...

Kembangan Decks is in the exhibition too, but the perspective from the Community Centre looking back at the MRT station is not included...

This is a orang seletar rustic themed boathouse resort in Lower Seletar Reservoir. In the end PUB decided to focus on the immediate surroundings around the existing Park and shelved the rest of the designs into Phase 2...

Outdoor Classroom in the small enclave of Mangroves in Changi Creek where kids can play with the mangrove water in an assortment of water toys and conduct ecocultural lessons for visitors... in the end, LTA happily came and cleared half the mangroves for a new 4 lane carriageway to replace the old telok paku bridge...

hougang seafood village is built on existing leftover spaces from the ura masterplan and capitalising on the rustic feel of the park connectors. the old punggol seafood places can be created in backdrop of old kampung style houses. this one, erm... let just say its not politically feasible... haha...
