need paid-help: schema proposal for baseball/ softball stadium.

my brother and his friend approached me more than a month ago to help them produce a set of drawings for the proposal of a baseball/ softball stadium up to some higher authorities (whom i suppose are the government). what my brother claimed (and still continues to claim) was just "some simple sketches" turns out to be not quite as simple for us, given that they've got all these special requirements of juxtaposing one field with another, have an indoor practice field attached to the main part of the stadium, on top of which there seems to be a host of programme-specific points to note related to the design of baseball/ softball stadiums.

it doesn't help that my surname is neither Neufert nor Ching.

anyway, given my rather worrying schedule, and ameliadollars not being too forthcoming with the help initially agreed -- maybe because i'm not paying her a million dollars, i'd prefer to sublet this work out to whoever's interested. whilst my brother and his friends wanted to get me to draw them gratis, i'm willing to pay a small fee for the job. i won't be completely out of the loop, so any hard decisions i'd resolve.

estimated schedule: 5hr research, 10hr production.
estimated pay: S$10/hr.

i'm likely to pay for the work, so don't push it :(

someone pleeeeeeeease heeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeeee....

p/s: sad to say, i'd prefer someone who's based locally to work on this -- no offence to wuks and oahiz_wanders -- not that oahiz will wanna work for me when he can earn a few thousands with the school.

tks for the links, i'd get amelia to look into them.

yeah, feasibility plan. but the two of them have some conception of how they want the spaces to flow, and other requirements.

i mean, i get the idea of a "sketch", but even a sketch for this case requires more knowledge than i already know. plus when is a "sketch" just a "sketch"? i could really just sketch it out, but that's probably not going to work for a proposal to authorities, especially if it's going to give the impression that we haven't the slightest idea of the functional requirements of a softball stadium.

maybe it's just me, but i don't just want the job done, i want it to work for the proposal.

plus, i don't want to be associated with any FC things...

or more accurately, i don't want to be associated with any more FC things -- given that i already have a lot of FC submissions.

take it from me that when people say they want a sketch, they don't mean they want a sketch. they mean they want a 'sketch'.

a 'sketch', one might find out the hard way like myself, means to be a well thought, well drawn, scaled (not necessarily TO scale unless the instructions came from my EX boss lady) and has the ability to reflect the Instructor's requirements in a manner that is seemingly lighthearted, easy and quick.

BTW, dee sweetie, you have an evil brother, i have an evil sister! ARE WE THE SAME PERson??? GEeee

sio, precisely. a sketch is often a drawing, and "a drawing" is often a full-fledged drawing with everything resolved and all the detailed annotations included.

it's such a misnomer.

to me, "sketches" are always "thumb-nail".
