[following the clean slate, then the set up, and the habitable state.]
our two main work tables came yesterday. it was a real thrill to receive them because not only were they NUS-common-workspace-table huge, but they were also not as expensive as i thought they would be--the managing director of Melbourne Office Furniture must have reduced the price for me without my knowledge. everything for less than AUD$200, with rollers!
i remember how we love rollers on furniture in NUS. rolling from workstations to workstations, and sometimes from studios to studios too.
-stares at ameliadollars-
there's another picture of my bedroom because some people commented that they couldn't see my bedside table. (gee.) anyway, the balcony outside my room is now the official clothes drying area, hence you see things there out for a sun. now, if only there were sun.
by the way, we each got a double bed for our bedrooms. on top of that, my futon chair folds out into a single bed. and my sofa bed folds out into another double bed. this house can actually hold quite a number of people, so if ever any of you wish to tell your parents that you're going for a "studio site visit in melbourne", remember that Pinnacle@Focal can house you for no cost (other than your soul, your first-born and maybe your virginity--or whatever orifice is still virgin for all the slutty whores).
there're comments and notes to the flickr images above, so be sure to check those out.
i want to get a proper table for the printer and scanner to sit on so that they may be relieved of their normadic lifestyle. and if only i can get my printer server to work.......... hmmm....
other than that, i guess the house will soon see its first house-warming/ official house-party.

the weather has cooled off in the last two days. it was blistering hot last week, and impossible to step out of the house without cursing and swearing. i don't mean to sound londoner about things but as oahiz and i are discussing right now:
deedeeWONG. says:...

deedeeWONG. says:

anyway, as much as i'm one all game for change and flexibilities, i do miss the certainty of the familiar condition. haven't been at my most optimum of mental health of late. did my first cutting of classes yesterday and didn't attend studio.
-waits for horrified expressions-
yes, i know this sounds a lot like me in NUS all over again. the only difference is, and you must believe me when i say this, that i'm actively trying to be a good student and make it for all my classes with all my work done timely. this wasn't the case back in NUS, i was just so sick of it that i couldn't be active about attending nor skipping it. class-cutting just happened then.
was so depressed yesterday that, when i was sitting alone in the dark--while yaoks and sio were attending a class i was supposed to be at, i was doing work while listening to Tanya Chua sing "Drops of Jupiter". ameliadollars (and maybe even oahiz) would definitely remember my playing that song non-stop-never-give-up back in year 1.
i've had better days, and yet i had worse.
